YOUTH! POWER! ACTION!
Since its founding 60 years ago, Amnesty International has been a movement of ordinary people taking extraordinary action in defense of human rights for all. Young people make up a substantial majority of AIUSA’s base of activists committed to protecting and defending human rights, and not only carry out the life-saving work of the organization, but are leaders within it. Youth are agents of change – defending, empowering, and building a vision of a better world where human rights are enjoyed by all. Whether you are new to AIUSA or already involved, there are many ways to get involved. You can focus on a specific interest area at any level of commitment. However you get active, youth and student activism is a critical part of Amnesty’s global network of over 7 million activists, members and supporters, and we look forward to working with you!
