Activist training sessions designed by youth, for youth.

From recruitment to running meetings, club fair to creative activism, and so much more, these sessions run by AIUSA’s Peer Trainers will give your group the skills they need to build strong groups that take effective action for human rights! Note that all times below are listed first in Eastern time and then Pacific time.

Recruitment & Retention

AIUSA Peer Trainers will cover the five steps required to both recruit and retain activists to your student group. You’ll leave with ideas and examples for your group to implement in each of the five steps, and have the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas with other student group leaders.

Taking Action: National Week of Student Action Edition

AIUSA Peer Trainers will cover taking action best practices, issue education, creative activism tactics, and action ideas for National Week of Student Action! You’ll leave feeling ready to plan actions with your student group, tap into your creativity, and begin mobilizing around NWSA! (Save the date: NWSA is Feb 24-28!)

Join us to learn about the key to maintaining strong and active AIUSA student groups from year to year: quality leadership transitions! We will teach you how to think long-term in your leadership transition strategy, how/when to select new leaders, and how to train them for success.
