Nasta Loika, a Belarusian woman human rights defender, prisoner of conscience and educator, must be unconditionally released. She is serving a seven-year prison sentence imposed under trumped up charges of “inciting racial, national, religious or other social enmity or discord” in retaliation for her human rights work. She has reportedly suffered torture and other ill-treatment in detention. She is not receiving food of adequate nutrition which has had a detrimental effect on her health. She was subjected to prolonged solitary confinement for six months which amounts to torture or other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
