The National Congress must reject DNU No. 70/2023 and restore the protections established by Rural Land Law No. 26,737. The law safeguards Argentina’s lands, freshwater sources, and other natural resources by limiting the acquisition and concentration of rural land by foreign individuals and entities.
We call for reinstating these protections as essential safeguarding for the Indigenous Peoples’ rights to their lands and territories, and protecting the right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.
