He could be at risk of further attack. 1) TAKE ACTION Write a letter, send an email, call, fax or tweet:- Calling on the Pakistani authorities to conduct a thorough, impartial, independent and effective investigation into the attacks on Matiullah Jan, and bring those suspected of responsibility to justice in trials which meet international fair trial standards and without recourse to the death penalty;
- Urging them to take immediate measures to end the continuing threats, attacks and intimidation against journalists;
- Calling on them to ensure a safe and enabling environment in which journalists, other media workers and human rights defenders are able to carry out their work freely and without fear of reprisals.
