Regional Activism Conference 2024

This year’s regional activism conferences are in person again! Join us in Atlanta, Phoenix, and New York City for human rights workshops, activism skills building, networking, and more. All Governance sessions will be held hybrid for accessibility.

We’re excited to announce that AIUSA activists will be back in person for Regional Activism Conferences (RAC) in 2024!

AIUSA is continuing to recover from the impact the pandemic took on activism and will host three in-person Regional Activism Conferences in the fall of 2024. The Regional Activism Conferences will be planned by working groups of members and staff in each of the three regions, exemplifying our model of shared leadership. AIUSA will deepen engagement and strengthen our movement for Human Rights. The 2024 Regional Activism Conferences will be held in the following locations:

  • Southern Regional Activism Conference will be virtual on September 28, 2024
  • Western Regional Activism Conference in Phoenix, AZ October 19
  • Northeast Regional Activism Conference in New York, NY October 26

Virtual Working Parties will be held on September 23 and 24 at 8:00 pm EDT. Please visit the Member Center for additional details on the 2024 resolutions.

We encourage members in the Midwest to attend the Southern Regional Activism Conference and members in the Mid-Atlantic to attend the Northeast Regional Activism Conference. Details will be shared shortly regarding subsidies, venues, and more. Governance processes will be held for each of the five regions and the National Resolutions Committee (NRC) will share information on how you can cast your resolution vote virtually and in-person for your region this fall.

SOUTHERN REGIONAL ACTIVISM CONFERENCE

Hurricane Helene has prompted Gov. Kemp to issue a state of emergency for Georgia. Out of an abundance of caution, the Southern Regional Activism Conference has been switched to a VIRTUAL ACTIVISM CONFERENCE.

We are waiving the virtual registration fee for all activists
