The life of unfairly imprisoned Azerbaijani opposition figure, Tofig Yagublu, is reported to be at serious risk. According to his lawyer, his health has severely deteriorated as a result of an ongoing hunger strike and the lack of medical care he requires. His family fears that, following years of persecution, arbitrary detention, and alleged ill-treatment, his condition may shortly become irreversible. Tofig Yagublu must be released immediately and unconditionally, and granted urgent access to appropriate, independent medical treatment.
