South Jersey Group 543
Monday, June 7th @ 7pm
Zoom meeting – Info email: [email protected]
For 30 years, the South Jersey Amnesty group has been commemorating the Tien’anmen uprising.
We all know that with each year we are coming closer and closer to being just a “number”. It is so much easier to render us down to numerics so that our every move can be tracked and controlled. Without knowledge on how this digitalization is creeping in, we cannot intelligently fight against it. Freedom of Expression is at the core of human rights work and this is a timely presentation to mark the 32nd Anniversary of Tien’anmen.
Art is an integral part of human rights, and this year there will be a tour by local artists of the Liberty Sculpture Park in California. A statue of Crazy Horse was the first sculpture in the park to honor the Indigenous peoples, followed by the Tank Man!
