The event organizers are rescheduling this event due to a forecast of rain and cold and want to get a good turn out and not get folks drenched!
Join Amnesty members in San Francisco for a Photo Action and Press Conference with the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and local human rights community members.
In February 2022 the San Francisco Board of Supervisors (BOS) passed a resolution (sponsored by Supervisors Ronen; Preston, Mar and Peskin) urging for the release of Leonard Peltier from federal custody and declared February 24, 2022 as a Day of Solidarity with Leonard Peltier.
On November 1st, 2022, the first day of Native American history month, San Francisco human rights community members request to hold a press conference in community with the BOS and other legislators to call on our Members of Congress to urge President Biden to release Leonard Peltier immediately – before it is too late!
Feel free to bring hand-made signs to Free Leonard Peltier!
