Page Not Found: Censorship and Human Rights in the 21st Century
September 21 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT
Each year during Banned Books Week, Amnesty International draws attention to people around the world who have been imprisoned, threatened, or murdered because of what their writing, art, or other published work. In solidarity with the American Library Association (ALA) and organizations across the U.S. and around the world, Amnesty activists work to fight challenges to freedom of expression.
Join human rights activists from across the country to hear from a panel of speakers who work against censorship and defend freedom of expression globally. Speakers will include representatives from the American Library Association (ALA) and the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA), as well as journalists and cartoonists who have experienced censorship in their work.
