Vicki and Syl Schieber’s daughter, Shannon, was murdered by the Center City Rapist in Philadelphia. Their personal tragedy moved them to travel across the country advocating for abolition of the death penalty.

Kirk Bloodsworth was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of nine-year-old Dawn Hamilton. He spent over eight years on death row before the emerging science of DNA fingerprinting proved that he was not the killer.

The Honorable Frank Ryan has a vision of a Pennsylvania that no longer claims the power to execute its citizens. He represents the 101st Legislative District of Pennsylvania and is sponsoring a bill to end capital punishment.
