Art and Action for Kelly, a 23-year-old trans asylum seeker who has been detained for 2.5 years
June 24, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm EDT
Kelly is a 23-year-old transgender asylum seeker who has been detained for more than two and a half years by US immigration authorities. Like many LGBT folks in the inhumane immigration detention system, she has suffered medical neglect and has been put in solitary confinement arbitrarily, in one instance for four months straight.
On Wednesday, join us for poetry, music, and online action, as well as letter writing you can do at home for Kelly. Your registration will also keep you in the loop on other Refugee and Asylum cases that Amnesty is working on in the future, so the attention and your ability to take action doesn’t stop once the livestream ends.
