Are you an Amnesty International activist in the New York City area? Come join us on Saturday, February 16th 10AM – 5PM at Barnard College to network and meet with other activists in NYC! We are holding this gathering to cultivate and foster relationship between AI activists in the NYC area, plan/coordinate NYC area human rights initiatives, build capacity for effective organizing/advocacy and to share resources/ideas. AIUSA Local Groups, Student Groups, individual activists and folks new to Amnesty are all welcome!
We will have a meet & greet with a letter writing/action station, go over AIUSA’s current priority campaigns/issues, have a featured speaker/guest of honor, hold a lobby training, outline our action calendar for the year and end the meeting with a solidarity action!
The event is FREE and food will be provided! We hope to see you there!
