Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe! Amnesty International is encouraging local groups to meet and take action virtually for the next several months. Although stay-at-home orders are lifting throughout the country, Amnesty has put a hold on all in-person events for the time being. This hold includes all local groups, including the St. Louis group.
With that said, let’s continue our human rights activism in St. Louis! Join us Tuesday, June 16 at 5:30 p.m. for the St. Louis group’s first ever virtual meeting! Missouri state leadership will be providing updates and event announcements. We’ll also discuss Amnesty’s new priority campaign for 2020, #RightsNow, which demands human rights be protected during the pandemic and in the U.S. government’s response to COVID-19.
