Join us for the first virtual meeting of the local group Amnesty Brooklyn.
Amnesty Brooklyn is a volunteer-run local Amnesty International group, made up of people like you. Local groups are a powerful way for people from all walks of life to come together to advocate for human rights.
We organize and educate local communities to support the release of individuals at risk and campaign on a plethora of human rights cases that matter to the Brooklyn community. These include putting an end to torture, abolishing the death penalty, preventing violence against women, raising the flag for LGBTQ issues and ending the practice of Deadly Force. You can learn more about us and sign up for our newsletter on http://www.amnestybrooklyn.org/.
In this first meeting of 2021 after a bit of a break, we want to gather virtually and talk about how we can engage around Human Rights topics both national and international, and see how we can make an impact in our Brooklyn community.
No preparation required, just sign up to receive the Zoom link the day off and join us to find out more!
If you can’t attend this particular date but would like to find out more anyway, don’t hesitate to drop us a message and we’ll be in touch with more information!
