2019 Amnesty Illinois State Meeting

JOIN Amnesty activists in Illinois for a day of skill-sharing, education and activism. MEET other student and local group members in Illinois. SHARE your experiences and challenges in your human rights work. ORGANIZE to work together with other Amnesty groups in Illinois for the next year.

We’ll have two one-hour workshops: one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. The first workshop will share ideas for how to take effective action on human rights. The second workshop will show how to work with the media to publicize and create pressure for our campaigns.

Between the two workshops, we’ll have a one-hour break for (provided) lunch and networking with other Amnesty activists in Illinois.

Tentative Schedule:
10- 11 AM Welcome Intro & Network
11-12 Workshop on Action/Activism
12-1 Lunch focusing on increasing collaboration
1-2 Workshop on media Training
