Conference Programming Committee Application

The Conference Programming Committee (CPC) is a group of AIUSA member leaders who will review the 2023 conference program session proposals and select the final sessions for the Virtual Activism Conference (VAC’23) as well as the hybrid Annual General Meeting (AGM’24).

It is the role of the Programming Committee to ensure that the agenda is balanced, incorporating a diverse array of member-led workshops and panels that include skills-based, interactive sessions along with panels. The CPC will also support in the selection of member submitted action alley applications and be reached out to as a resource throughout the AGM planning process.

Length of term: July 2023 – November 2023

Expected time commitment: 5-6 hours for each conference
I.e. 5-6 hrs for VAC’23 and 5-6 hrs for AGM’24.

AIUSA members will consist of representatives from the following membership groups

  • Area Coordinators

  • Country and Thematic Specialists

  • Legislative Coordinators

  • Local Group

  • Youth Collective Member

  • State Death Penalty Abolition Coordinators

  • Youth Leadership in Activism

  • Student Group
 

criteria to be eligible for the CPC Committee

  • Members of the CPC must be a card carrying member of AIUSA

  • Available to participate in Committee Call (see below for timeline)

  • Available to meet review deadline

  • Experience with training and facilitation is a plus!

  • 7/05: Deadline to apply for Program Committee

  • 8/01: VAC’23 Orientation Call 1

  • 8/04: VAC’23 Scorecards for RFP due

  • 8/07: VAC’23 Review Call 2

  • 11/10: AGM’24 Orientation Call 1

  • 11/15: AGM’24 Scorecards for RFP due

  • 11/16: AGM’24 Review Call 2
