On the evening of May 19, 2010, Governor Brad Henry of Oklahoma approved clemency and commuted the death sentence for Richard Tandy Smith to life without parole. Smith was found guilty of murdering John Cederlund in 1986. Six jurors from the trial and John Cederlund’s brother were among those arguing in favor of clemency. Thank you to all who took action!
