Jonathan Green Execution Stayed in Texas

On June 30, 2010, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals granted a stay of execution to Jonathan Green. The Texas Court issued the stay in order to review Green’s mental competency for execution. Green was found guilty for the rape and murder of 12-year-old Christina LeAnn Neal. He suffers from mental illness and exhibits signs of mental retardation, which would render his execution unconstitutional. Thank you to all who took action!
