Amnesty International’s Anti-Torture Protesters Hound Cheney on Book PR Tour
August 30, 2011

Amnesty International was out in force today combating former Vice President Dick Cheney's disinformation campaign linked with the release of his memoir, In My Time. Activists demonstrated at the Department of Justice in Washington, DC, and the Today Show in New York City.
In the early morning hours Amnesty activists infiltrated Cheney's Today Show appearance with Matt Lauer, and our protest signs calling for an investigation of Cheney were caught on camera and broadcast nationwide!
Later, Amnesty was on the ground at the Department of Justice in DC with a special delivery: Cheney's own memoir, presented to a DOJ spokesperson, along with a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder stating the AG's obligation to investigate possible war crimes committed during the Bush administration's "war on terror".
