For Banned Books Week 2020, Amnesty International hosted a celebration of the words, images and sounds that would disappear from our world if we did not fight for freedom of expression! Guest speakers included Victoria Owen, a representative from the International Federation of Library Associations; Deborah Caldwell-Stone, Director of the American Library Association’s Office for Intellectual Freedom; renowned journalist and human rights defender, Maria Ressa; and a special message from award-winning journalist Christiane Amanpour!
