Planning committee application

The Conference Programming Committee (CPC) is a group of  AIUSA member leaders who will review the 2022 conference program session proposals and select the final sessions for the Regional conference as well as the Annual General Meeting. It is the role of the Programming Committee to ensure that the agenda is balanced, incorporating a diverse array of member-led workshops and panels that include skills-based, interactive sessions along with panels. The CPC will also support in the selection of member submitted action alley applications and be reached out to as a resource throughout the AGM planning process. Representatives will be selected by their respective member groups and must meet the eligibility criteria in order to be considered. 

Length of term

July 2022 – March 2023

Expected time commitment

5-6 hours for each conference. I.e. 5-6 hrs for Regional and 5-6hrs for AGM. AIUSA Members will consist of representatives from the following membership groups: 
  • Area Coordinators 
  • Country and Thematic Specialists  
  • Legislative Coordinators   
  • Local Group (Regional Representative) 
  • Member Empowerment Training Project 
  • Youth Collective Member 
  • State Death Penalty Abolition Coordinators  
  • Student Activist Coordinators 
This is the criteria to be eligible for the CPC Committee:
  1. Members of the  CPC must be a card carrying member of AIUSA 
  2. Available to participate in Committee Call (see below for timeline) 
  3. Available to meet review deadline 
  4. Experience with training and facilitation is a plus! 
Timeline: 
  • 7/18 Program Committee Applications Open 
  • 8/15 Deadline to apply for Program Committee
  • 8/16 Review Sessions/Scorecards
  • 8/17 Submit Scorecards via email
  • 8/18 Review Call
