Nawal Mustafa is a Palestinian-American activist who is passionate about human rights, gender and racial justice, and protecting freedom of speech, ranging from peaceful protests to the ballot box. She currently serves as an Internal Communications Specialist at AIUSA, where she collaborates with the Chief of Staff to provide executive communications for senior leadership, develops communications strategies that creatively engage internal stakeholders, and collaborates across teams to help the organization deliver human rights impact. She lives in Washington, D.C. and loves spending time with family and friends, trying different cuisines from around the world, visiting bookstores and coffeeshops, and using photography to capture the beauty of everyday social life.
