Merelyn Polanco is a Dominican born human rights defender. She joined Amnesty International USA in 2018 as a Professional Fundraiser, and since then, has been advancing her career within the Development Department. She has taken on various roles such as Recruitment and Operations Assistant, Major Gifts Assistant, and currently, Direct Response Coordinator. Within the direct response unit, she oversees art and copy production/approvals of AIUSA’s mail fundraising efforts, and provides administrative and technical support.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling and a good read. She is multilingual, and hopes to one day be fluent in all the Latin-influenced languages.
