Attiya is a Senior Campaigner at AIUSA. They’ve spent the past two years working as an Organizer at AIUSA and mobilizing activists on the ground in three priority areas: ending gun violence in Connecticut, banning facial recognition technology in NYC, and protecting refugee and migrant rights in NY State. They are a TEDx speaker, a Marshall, Truman, and Jefferson Scholar, and hold an M.S. in Gender Studies from the University of Oxford, an M.S. in Migration and Development Studies from SOAS University of London, and a B.A. in Political and Social Thought from the University of Virginia.
