A Message from Amnesty International USA Executive Director Paul O’Brien
On behalf of all of us at Amnesty, thank you for being an important part of this human rights community.
We’ve had a tremendously busy year in human rights terms. And let me tell you, we’ve been fighting hard. We fought for a ceasefire in Gaza. We fought to get individuals who were unlawfully jailed or detained, and threatened to be deported released and back home to their families.
It’s been one thing after the next, but we couldn’t have done it without you.Â
And in a year filled with so much cruelty and suffering, it’s extra important to take a moment to celebrate the humanity and compassion that define our rapidly growing movement for human rights.
Every dollar, every action, every time you use your voice, it’s made a difference.
I know how easy it could’ve been to turn away from crises or tune out the news this year, but you never did. You showed up to fight for the rights of everyone – from your neighbors to people you’ve never even met.
So as we round out the year, thank you again for staying with us. We are growing as a movement, and we look forward to staying with you in the year to come.
Wishing you a safe and healthy holiday season.
