Amnesty International Sends Letter to President Trump and President Kenyatta Ahead of August 27 Meeting

Ahead of their August 27 meeting at the White House, Executive Directors Margaret Huang (AIUSA) and Irũngũ Houghton (AI Kenya) sent a letter to Presidents Trump and Kenyatta. They urged the Presidents to address human rights concerns including refugee rights, threats to civic space for citizens and civil society organizations, lack of accountability for security forces abuses, forced relocations and evictions, and accountability for drone strikes.
