Camilo Mejia Castillo was released before the completion of his one-year sentence.
Camilo Mejia Castillo, a U.S. National Guardsman jailed for refusing to return to service in Iraq for reasons of conscience, was released from prison on February 15, 2005, before the completion of his one-year sentence. Castillo’s case formed part of AIUSA’s holiday action focus cases in 2004.
