Jon Stewart, Kristen Wiig and Coldplay are just around the corner warming up for this Sunday’s Secret Policeman’s Ball in New York City. For just one night at Radio City Music Hall, a star-studded lineup of musicians and comedy favorites will pay hilarious tribute to free speech and Amnesty International’s human rights work.
Who else will be around to ruffle some dictator feathers? Here’s the full star-studded line up:
On the state-side, we’ve got comedy favorites Jon Stewart, Sarah Silverman, Fred Armisen, Hannibal Burress, David Cross, Jay Pharoah, Bob Odenkirk, Taran Killam, Reggie Watts, Rex Lee, Kristen Wiig, Seth Meyers, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis, Bobby Moynihan, Rashida Jones, Paul Rudd and Statler & Waldorf from The Muppets.
From across the Atlantic, big-shot comedians Russell Brand, Noel Fielding, Eddie Izzard, Micky Flanagan, John Oliver, Peter Serafinowicz, Jack Whitehall, Matt Berry, Chris O’Dowd and Jimmy Carr will be around will be around to humor the British funny bone. Actors Liam Neeson and Tim Roth, along with musical giants Coldplay and Mumford and Sons will be coming to entertain the party.
We were also lucky enough to secure Burmese comedian Maung Thura Zarganar, who has used his talents to speak up for human rights. He was jailed in 2008 for criticizing the Burmese government and was only recently released in October 2011. Zarganar along with all the comedians and musicians will be standing for free speech this Sunday.
