Two more human rights defenders from the community-based organization the Movement for Democracy Current Force have been arrested and detained in Myanmar for their peaceful activism.
The Director of Casa Alianza Honduras was beaten and detained by military police on 8 May. He believes his mistreatment was in retaliation for speaking out against violence against children.
Human rights lawyer Dr Mohammed al-Roken, a prisoner of conscience, is now being held in solitary confinement incommunicado. He may be at risk of torture and other ill-treatment.
Fifteen-year-old Génesis Giselle Gutiérrez Romero, a member of the Wayúu Indigenous Reservation of Zahíno, received a death threat on 5 May.
