Western Regional Conference

It is our sincere pleasure to invite you to this year's Western Regional Conference. Join us October 28-30, 2016, as we stand shoulder to shoulder in the great city of Los Angeles to make a lasting human rights impact. The Western Regional Conference brings together hundreds of Amnesty members and other human rights activists from around the country. With our Regional Conference Planning Committee and Regional Office as co-hosts, together we will continue our tradition of engaging in networking opportunities, inspiring plenaries, outstanding keynotes, and hands-on skill-building workshops, as well as shaping the policies of the organization.

Through interactive programs and workshops, exceptional speakers and engaging exhibits, the Regional Conference will facilitate discussions about human rights issues in the United States and around the world and motivate us to take action. As activists, we will be challenged to initiate change within our own communities. This will only happen with you – we need you there!

Don't forget to like us on Facebook.

Did you know?

Los Angeles is widely regarded as the epicenter of entertainment and media. A city that is home to major celebrities, sports teams, fashion trends, and tourism, Los Angeles stands as the metropolitan of the West Coast. Home to the world’s leading film industry, Hollywood is a source of dreams and inspiration. In order to maintain this atmosphere of hope and limitless opportunity, many Californians are pushing for refugee policy reform-- especially in regards to those fleeing the worsening conditions in the Northern Triangle of Central America. AIUSA commends the West’s activists’ efforts to promote acceptance of all and towards Amnesty’s Refugee and Migrant Rights’ Campaign.

MINORS

If you (or a member of your group) are 17 years of age or younger, AIUSA requires that this waiver agreement be completed by a legal guardian and that a chaperone accompany you for the entire duration of the conference. AIUSA does not assume responsibility for minors.
