Young Professionals Amnesty International Networks (YPAI)
YPAI engages and supports Amnesty activists from diverse backgrounds entering the working world. This dynamic young professionals group provides Amnesty and other human rights activists a space to network, organize and contribute to the struggle for human rights in the US and abroad.

West: Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix
South: San Antonio

YPAI – Los Angeles held their launch event "J'Amnesty! A Human Rights Celebration" in October 2010 at the Standard Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. Over 120 attended and took action on the case of Majid Tavakkoli, an Iranian student leader who is facing eight years in prison for speaking at a peaceful rally marking Student Day on December 7, 2009, and is the Western Region's Special Focus Case. Attendees wrote messages of solidarity and support to Majid on Scantron forms, which are exam forms used by students in the US, and took part in the "Azadi" or Freedom (in Farsi) photo action.

YPAI - NYC launched in August 2010 with a Rooftop Social, equipped with breathtaking scenes of New York City and live music. Over 100 dynamic young professionals from the human rights field as well as artists, government and for-profit sector professionals attended, socialized and took action on Amnesty International USA campaigns.
