Troy Davis' Sister Speaks About Her Fight for Justice

Martina Davis Correia, sister of Troy Davis, speaks about her decades-long fight for justice for her brother, who was executed by the state of Georgia on September 21, 2011. In this video interview with Amnesty International from March, 2011, Correia says she and her brother were brought up to believe in the fairness of the U.S. justice system and taught at the same time to speak up when they saw injustice. These strong ideals inspired her to join Amnesty as a decade-long volunteer leader in the organization's Campaign to Abolish the Death Penalty. She and her son De'Jaun are shown wearing the iconic "I Am Troy Davis" t-shirts that she designed and that galvanized millions around the world to join Amnesty International and other groups fighting to save Troy's life.
