A Court in Cairo has ordered the release of all but one, Alaa Abdel Fattah, of the prisoners of conscience held since the peaceful protest in front of the Shura Council.
Three Egyptian activists are facing trial for taking part in a protest on 30 November 2013. The charges against them may arise solely from their opposition activism.
On 26 November, at least 24 are prisoners of conscience were detained solely for peacefully exercising their right to freedom of assembly.
In the evening of 28 November Alaa Abdel Fattah, was taken from his home and arrested in connection to the peaceful protest.
