Three million activists.
Twenty-three years to reach this day.

This September 20th, join Burmese human rights defender Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and Amnesty's human rights leaders of the future for our Rights Generation: Daw Aung San Suu Kyi Inspires the Next Town Hall event at the Newseum in Washington, DC.

Journalist Alex Wagner, host of MSNBC's Now with Alex Wagner, will moderate the discussion. Amnesty International USA's executive director Suzanne Nossel will introduce Daw Suu.

Following fifteen years of detention, mostly under house arrest, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi continues to advocate for freedom and democracy around the world. Hear firsthand from this human rights icon about her experiences as an opposition leader, long-time prisoner of conscience and now Member of Parliament, and ask your own questions to join the conversation!

The event is now sold out, but be sure to watch the live event streaming online.
