The more people and support we secure for our Annual General Meeting, the more we will accomplish for the human rights movement, while ensuring an optimal experience for our attendees. Your participation in the conference is crucial to its success, so we all need to spread the word!
Here are a few ways you can help and show your support
Join the Host Committee
If you are attending the conference and can assist Amnesty International USA by promoting the event to your network of friends, family, and colleagues, you can join our Host Committee! This is the easiest way to show your support and it takes very little effort. Sign up now to have your name recognized on certain conference promotions including the event page.
If you cannot attend the conference, please still consider helping us to spread the word about the conference. Host Committee members do not have to be residents or locals of Albuquerque, NM. As long as you can promote the conference on social media and to your contacts, you are welcome to join.
We ask Host Committee members to confirm the following:
If you are an individual, we ask that you confirm at least 6 attendees
If you are an Amnesty Group, we ask that you confirm at least 10 attendees
Amnesty International USA provides an email-able invite, along with Facebook and Twitter instructions to help you reach your goal. We will also provide you with a report to view all the attendees that confirm you as their Host Committee member.

Take your experience at the Annual General Meeting to the next level. Volunteer with other activists from around the nation in Albuquerque. Those who volunteer for a three-hour shift will be awarded a day pass, free of charge. Please note that you will only receive a day pass for the day you volunteer, not for the entire conference.
Three-hour time slots for the following positions are available:
Event Set Up: Support the set up of the ballroom, programmatic rooms, and action alley.
Registration/Welcome: The registration team will be in charge of aiding with the registration process. The registration team will check attendees into the conference. The welcome team will help direct the attendees to where they need to be for check in. Volunteers should be energetic and outgoing.
Event Break-down: Support the break out and clean up of the ballroom, programmatic rooms, and action alley.
Ballroom Ambassador: Ballroom Ambassadors will direct attendees when they enter the ballroom and make sure everyone is on time for the program. They will also ensure that everything runs smoothly and timely within the room, including supporting speakers and guests.
National Resolution Shadows: Support our National Resolutions Committee with the governance pieces of the AGM, including staffing the resolutions session.
Attendee Ambassador: This volunteer team will help attendees get to where they need to be and ensure that everyone is on time. They will also ensure that the hallways and rooms are tidy before and after programs and trainings.
Guest Services: The Guest Services will need volunteers during the registration process to sit at a table the guest services table. These volunteers will be trained by staff and have extensive knowledge of the AGM and Amnesty International.
IT: We are looking for volunteers who can do basic IT support such as troubleshooting printing issues and connecting laptops for projectors in the program sections.

Interested in making a monetary donation or donating in-kind services?
Our Annual General Meeting counts on the support of individuals like yourself to ensure we have another successful year. If you are a business owner or work for a local business and are interested in providing support to the conference via an in-kind gift, pro bono service or a monetary donation, we would like to hear from you. Event support from businesses enables us to enhance our conference and improve our attendees’ experience, while keeping the costs down for our members.
We tailor each partnership to offer unique and highly visible marketing opportunities. Support for Amnesty International USA highlights a company’s support for human rights, while exposing its brand to hundreds of our loyal supporters, community leaders and members.
We are looking for businesses to assist with the following (this is a list of a few opportunities): videography, photography, underwriting a block of tickets/stays for youth to attend, venues to host social events, and companies interested in supporting the conference as local corporate supporters.
