75 min deep dive
AIUSA Peer Trainers will cover leadership structures, running meetings, and making an action plan for your group. You’ll leave with ideas and strategies for running your group, and have the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas with other Amnesty student group leaders. This session is perfect for new groups or new leadership teams as it will cover multiple topics in depth.
60 min deep dive
From tabling to film screenings, from hosting speakers to photo actions, carrying out human rights events is a core part of your student group’s work! This session will cover the five mains steps of event planning, from crafting your vision to evaluating your work — and everything in between. Then, we’ll cover how to make sure your work stands out! How can you develop your actions and events in a way that is both effective and creative? In this session, AIUSA Peer Trainers will review what makes a tactic effective, and then provide several examples of creative ideas. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas with other student group leaders.
60 minute deep dive
AIUSA Peer Trainers will cover the five steps required to both recruit and retain activists to your student group. You’ll leave with ideas and examples for your group to implement in each of the five steps, and have the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas with other student group leaders.
