Vidal Brítez was detained on March 26 in Paso Yobái, Guairá as a reprisal for his defense of a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment. The Prosecutor’s Office is pursuing alleged acts of serious coercion for an incident in which he did not take part. We are urging the Prosecutor’s Office to respect Mr Brítez’s procedural guarantees, and drop the charges, resulting in his release.
