Shamed and Blamed: Pregnant Girls’ Rights at Risk in Sierra Leone

The government of Sierra Leone bans pregnant girls from attending schools and taking exams. All girls, no matter their pregnancy status, have the right to education, and Amnesty International is working to ensure Sierra Leone fulfils its obligations to guarantee the rights of pregnant girls to education and non-discrimination and to protect them from any inhuman and degrading treatment.
