Amnesty International and volunteer members hold events promoting awareness, community organizing, and activism for human rights. Amnesty also hosts regional and national conferences for members to connect, learn, strategize and take action for human rights.
We are continuing to hold virtual events during the COVID-19 pandemic. Physical distancing will not prevent us from being on the front lines to ensure that human rights are promoted and protected for ALL people everywhere! Check out our Events Calendar to join a virtual event or submit an event you are hosting and share it with Amnesty activists across the country.
For 60 years we have been uniting action takers and change makers from the world over. Every year, Amnesty International USA hosts a national human rights conference — the Annual General Meeting (AGM) — for its members across the United States to come together to increase knowledge, build skills, exchange ideas and make decisions to protect and promote human rights around the world!
For more than 40 years, Amnesty International USA has hosted regional conferences in cities across the country. Each fall, these conferences have provided a space for people to come together to increase knowledge, build skills, and exchange ideas and strategies for progressing a human rights agenda!
* This year, given the pandemic, Amnesty International USA hosted one virtual Activism Conference over 3 days, Nov 13-15, 2020.
