Elizabeth Rghebi (she/her) is the MENA Advocacy Director for Amnesty International USA. Prior to this, she served as the Levant researcher with the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies based in Tunis, Tunisia. Elizabeth has conducted human rights advocacy on the MENA region at the United Nations, European Union, and before national governments in close collaboration with local civil society organizations. She has an MA in Middle Eastern studies from Columbia University and a BA in Government from Georgetown University.
