As Advocacy Director – Europe and Central Asia for Amnesty International USA, Daniel works with U.S. government representatives in Congress and the executive to ensure that human rights are prioritized and protected.
Before coming to Amnesty, Daniel worked at Accion International to protect microfinance clients entering the formal financial sector across Eurasia. Before that, he managed the Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan portfolios at the National Democratic Institute.
He speaks fluent Russian and Spanish and barely passable Hebrew and Arabic. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking and cooking food from across the Eurasian region.
