Calling all Youth Artists, Activists & Advocates!

Amnesty International believes in the power of art to inspire change. Now more than ever, we must use our voices to resist human rights violations, uphold the vision of a world where all rights are protected, and defend human rights wherever they are threatened!

That’s why we’re excited to invite youth artists + activists to participate in our Youth Artwork Contest. This is your chance to showcase your creativity while advocating for the protection of human rights.

Submit your artwork for a chance to win fantastic prizes, including having your art featured on AIUSA’s merchandise and across social media platforms.

Need inspiration?

The following prompts will help get your creative juices flowing! You do not need to respond to these questions in particular; they are just meant to provide inspiration!

  • What Amnesty human rights issues are most important to you in 2025 and throughout the second Trump administration? Incorporate these issues (through symbols, icons, or other illustrative techniques) into your graphic.
  • Illustrate how activists—regardless of age—can advocate for human rights. Consider a graphic that represents cross-generational and other diverse collaboration in activism.
  • Considering Amnesty’s IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility) principles, how can we reaffirm them in 2025? Depict a visual of solidarity and community of resistance.
  • How can activists promote and spread hope among their communities in 2025? How will we find strength in one another and our passions? How will we stand together in the face of adversity?
