Leonce Byimana is an accomplished program management professional with clinical psychology, public health, and advocacy background. Most of his work has been in the prevention of torture and rehabilitation of torture survivors and war trauma victims.  With extensive experience in cross-cultural mental health, Leonce has held leadership roles in prominent organizations in the USA and African countries. His expertise and dedication have made significant contributions to the field, including publications on mental health, trauma-informed care, and advocacy. 

Leonce is the Director of the US Clinical Programs at Center for Victims of Torture. He is a clinical psychologist with a Master’s degree in Public Health and a graduate degree in Conflict Resolution. Leonce has worked as the Executive Director of TASSC (Torture Abolition And Survivors Support Coalition International) and worked as a clinician and advocate for different organizations in the USA and Rwanda.
