Ben Linden is the Advocacy Director for Europe and Central Asia for Amnesty International USA. Prior to joining Amnesty, Ben served at the U.S. State Department in the office of the Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security and in the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation. He was a 2023 Brookings foreign policy fellow for Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley. Ben served as a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Mission to International Organizations in Vienna and the Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration and Bureau of Industry and Security. He has also worked at the Asia Society in New York and taught English in South Korea.
Ben holds an M.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a B.A. from George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs. He lives in Washington, DC, and enjoys biking, cooking, and live music.
