Adrian DeDomenico serves as the Senior Director of Finance for the Tides Center, where he oversees day-to-day financial operations and implements impact-focused fiscal systems to support Tides’ mission of accelerating social justice-related change. Before joining Tides, he worked for twelve years at Oxfam America, leading financial planning and analysis. Before that, he managed multi-country financial operations for World Education and provided consultancy services on education policy for USAID in Egypt. Adrian has chaired a nonprofit board of directors and advocates for the crucial role of finance professionals on boards to create measurable impact and ensure organizational health.
Adrian is not only a finance professional but also volunteers his time as a documentary producer. He collaborates with partners such as Intersex Nigeria to create films that shine a light on the human rights abuses faced by individuals due to armed conflict and discrimination. He also volunteers as a member of the Amnesty local group AI15. He has volunteered on campaigns opposing the global arms trade and advocating for relief for those affected by the conflict in Syria.
Adrian enjoys reading extensively on social justice, international and economic affairs, entrepreneurship, science fiction, and Buddhism in his free time. His typical joyful day involves meditation, long-distance swimming or cycling, hiking, storytelling, and various outdoor activities with his wife and three children in Boston. He holds an AB in Political Science from the University of Chicago, a Master’s in Education from Harvard University, and an MPA from Rutgers University.
