Arrested for investigating a massacre. Facing 14 years in prison just for doing their job.

Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo are reporters for Reuters. They were arrested in December while investigating atrocities committed by Myanmar’s security forces against the Rohingya people. They now face up to 14 years in prison.

They put their personal freedom on the line in order to document horrific human rights violations and ensure that people like us knows what is happening. For this reason, they are human rights defenders as well as journalists.
