Join us and become a part of a new Amnesty International (AI) Local Group forming in Asheville, NC!

AI Local Groups are community volunteers who come together – usually monthly – to learn about human rights issues, organize to raise public awareness on these issues in their communities, engage in human rights campaigns, and take direct action! Local Groups, sometimes referred to as chapters, are formed by people in a geographic area.

We are looking to build out a new local group in Asheville to complement our sister group in Raleigh! We have scheduled our first three meeting dates.

Come and learn about this global movement of individuals who work to promote and protect human rights at home and abroad! Since 1961, AI has been working to stop human rights violations and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice!

This is a great way for you to become more active in Amnesty’s work and find out how you can make a difference locally and globally.

If you cannot attend at this time, but are interested in being a part of our new local group, or attending future meetings, please contact us at: [email protected]
