On March 30 student leaders from across the country gathered in Denver, CO for the Amnesty Mosaic Youth Training which kicked off our Annual General Meeting. This unique gathering was a HUGE success. Over 150 current and emerging youth leaders from 63 school and 34 states came together to connect, be inspired and shape Amnesty's work. Youth activists learned about pressing human rights issues, trained to become effective human rights leaders, and had the opportunity to meet and share experiences with peers committed to human rights work.
Thanks again for all your hard work, creative energy, and for making this training a memorable and productive one! We have started a mosaic... let's continue to add more pieces and see our mosaic grow!

We Can Live Without the Death Penalty
From February 27 to March 11 Amnesty International USA held National Week of Student Action and Death Penalty Awareness Week - two weeks of powerful and impactful actions. Our youth leaders worked hard to raise awareness about death penalty as a part of an international movement pushing for abolition of death penalty in the U.S. and around the world. We have been hearing about some great actions organized by our student groups but we want to hear more. Send photos and videos from your events to youth@aiusa.org for a chance to be featured in Bragging Rights Wednesday or in Amnesty Mosaic program!
