Racial Profiling
Tell Us Your Story
Racial profiling is a human rights violation affecting Americans in virtually every aspect of their daily lives. Racial profiling is widespread and happens to both women and men, affects all age groups, is used against people from all socio-economic backgrounds, and occurs in rural, suburban, and urban areas of the United States. Afterwards, victims of racial profiling are often left feeling humiliated, depressed, helpless, and angry.
The Domestic Human Rights Program of Amnesty International USA wants to empower victims of racial profiling by giving them a place to speak out. Amnesty invites you to share your story or thoughts of racial profiling with us. In turn, Amnesty will share your experiences, putting some of the submitted stories and thoughts on our website as a testimony to the violations occurring within the United States today.
Take this opportunity to share your story. Join us in speaking out against these serious human rights violations.
Please let us know how you would like to be identified. It would be helpful if you could tell us the date and location (city, state) of your experience. Any experience you wish to share with Amnesty International should be less than two thousand words and emailed to Amnesty at usa@aiusa.org.
By raising our voices together, we create awareness and demand for national, state, and local action to end racial profiling in the United States.
